Stability, achievement, and progress motivated Botswana to preserve its magnificent wildlife and wild area heritage. Eco Africa will introduce you to the wonders of a country larger than France, but which is also one of the three least populated countries in the world. Immense tracts of land have been set aside as protected areas to ensure conservation of wilderness.
The entire country is basically a flat plateau set 1000 meters above sea level. Wide skies, huge vistas, and very distant horizons characterize Botswana. Empty spaces, seas of grass, lagoons, and clear rivers await you.
The climate
Our rainy season begins in November, peaks in January, and usually ends in April. But the rain in Botswana is not like the rain in Spain... even when the rains come, days are sunny and clear until interrupted by afternoon thunderstorms that have been brewing since morning. Our southern hemisphere winter begins in May and lasts until September. You can expect cold nights, cool mornings, and warm days. This is the time for cozy campfires, warm duvets on your bed, hot water bottles, and winter clothing.
Botswana can be wet, dry, dusty, muddy – we will advise you on what to expect when you plan your Eco Africa adventure. But always remember that in Botswana, the sun shines at least 365 days per year!
